PETER
REDMAN
CHAIRMAN |
Peter formed Midmar
Energy in 1995 with the idea of creating an Independent Oil
and Gas exploration and production company. Financed by his
private funds, the company made investment into a horizontal
section for the Brockham Oilfield.
After studying
Mechanical Engineering, Peter Redman joined the BP Drilling
Department as a Trainee in 1955 and the following year was
assigned to the Middle East where he worked on various
exploration programmes in the UAE and Oman. In 1964 he was
transferred to the North Sea area. This was followed by
drilling operational assignments in Libya, Iran, Australia and
Norway. In 1979, Peter Redman resigned from BP and joined
Phillips Petroleum Company to work in the North Sea. Since
leaving Phillips in 1984 he has worked in numerous operations
as Drilling Manager. His experience includes drilling
operations in Russia, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Georgia and
Bulgaria. He is the author of various technical papers and is
an External Examiner for Robert Gordons University MSc course
in Drilling Engineering. |

DR THOMAS REDMAN
MANAGING DIRECTOR |
Thomas joined Midmar in 2001 and is responsible for
Finance and Corporate affairs. After his honours degree in
Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Hariot-Watt
University in 1993, Thomas went on to complete his doctorate
in mathematical 3D image compression at Cambridge University.
On conclusion, he worked in the City of London for Merrill
Lynch writing exotic commodity derivatives, trading models and
managing risk for the derivative portfolio. He was responsible
for valuation and presentation of all commodity backed
derivative finance deals including multiple commodity notes
issues. Following Merrill Lynch, he was invited to set up the
commodity derivatives trading desk and commodity backed
finance structured deals for Commerzbank, where a successful
installation of a derivates trading system and trading team
were acheived.
He is now currently responsible for all
management, operational and budgetary matters within the
Midmar Group. |

MARK CAMPBELL
EXPLORATION
DIRECTOR |
Mark joined Midmar in 2005 as our
Exploration Director and has extensive experience in both
exploration and development geology covering both
International and North Sea projects and has detailed
knowledge and expertise of onshore UK geology as well as
developmental work. In addition, as a consultant he has worked
in Russia, FSU, China and many European countries on new
venture and development projects. |

SIMON ROOKSBY
SENIOR GEOSCIENTIST |
Simon joined Midmar in December 2007 as Senior Geoscientist. He
has worked
as a Consultant Geophysicist in many successful exploration,
development
and equity projects in both the UK and worldwide for both major,
and mid-sized
oil companies. He has over 30 years experience in the oil and
gas industry
working in and managing integrated teams for optimising
development
opportunities. He has expertise in risk assessment, legal,
commercial and
the project planning aspects of field development. Working
primarily in the
North Sea but with experience from the Middle East, North
Africa, USA,
Australia and Kazakhstan.

MARK STEINWALTZ
FINANCIAL
CONTROLLER |
Mark joined the Midmar Group in November
2005 as Financial Controller and brings with him 24 years of
experience within the Accountancy Profession. For the previous
16 years Mark was an Accountant and Business Consultant
specialising in the Downstream Petroleum industry and other
retail businesses.
