Planning Permission
Granted by Kent
County Council for
Temporary Drilling Site
Midmar Energy
UK Ltd (“Midmar”), the oil and gas
exploration and production company, today
announces that it has received planning permission
from Kent County Council to construct
a temporary drilling site to the North of
Bidborough, in the Borough of Tunbridge
Wells.
A Planning Application was submitted to Kent
County Council on 30th December 2009 to
drill two appraisal wells and test any
hydrocarbons for commerciality.
After careful
consideration, the council has permitted
this to go ahead, subject to various
conditions to ensure their high
environmental standards are met.
